Home Sweet Home (Carrier/Flew Update)

Ok, I'm home. Now is the recovery time. You know what I mean… books and bags come out of the car and into the foyer and there they sit in a big pile which gets smaller each day as I raid it for my essentials until finally I get sick of looking at the junk (read: my wife finally makes me clean it all up) and deal with it. I got home about 3 in the morning but was up by 8 to watch the kids so I am still quite out of it.

That said, I'm looking forward to digging in. I've got a horde of projects to get caught up on and several book reviews to write. Then there are a bunch of announcements and follow ups with Athanatos Ministries and of course conversations to follow up on from my presentations. Naturally, I've got a 10 day old backlog of emails to work through, too.

So, if any body out there is waiting for me to email them, follow up on something, get back to them, etc, I ask for a bit of patience.

In other news, I'm pleased to see that Victor Reppert found my rebuttal of some of Richard Carrier's claims about the genuineness of Antony Flew's book. This led to the atheismsucks blog picking up the article as well. Welcome to any visitors from those sites.

I haven't heard a response from Carrier (his blog reports that he is as sick as a dog, but maybe I'm just small potatoes in his book anyway) but I imagine something will pop up eventually. I did get a hit from Steve Carr, one of the fellahs at Infidels. So far, the most substantial comments are recorded on my forum: http://sntjohnny.com/smf/index.php?topic=2608.0

I say substantial but it looks to me more like a hit and run where no one can possibly imagine that Richard Carrier's portrayal of events is in doubt. I am still waiting for comment there on one example from my several that I think is really a slam dunk against Carrier's argument… but perhaps the reason there is no response is because it is such a slam dunk.

Also, I'm pleased to report that I might perhaps have a second 'stalker.' It is always nice to move away from anonymous email hate letters and to actual locations on the net.

Ok, so, that's it. Give me a day or three and I'll be back to the grindstone!
