2. What is also interesting to note here is that Jesus was apparently exalted as God prior to coming to earth, which is the complete opposite of Mormon theology.

No, read the Pearl of Great Price (or anything else published by the LDS church for that matter).

But the pre-existence of Jesus as Jehovah is Mormon doctrine. Why is it that everyone else has to be born on Earth prior to exaltation, but Jesus was exalted, became born on Earth and then exalted again? Isn't that somewhat contradictory?

Mormon's have always accepted Jesus Christ as one being like unto God himself.  They also recognize that Jesus' glory was not complete until he received his body here on Earth.  I really have no idea at what level Jesus was at that made it possible for him to be perfect, atone for our sins, and rise from the dead.  I do know, however, that no other could accomplish those things.

"Mormon's have always accepted Jesus Christ as one being like unto God himself. They also recognize that Jesus' glory was not complete until he received his body here on Earth. "

I take this to mean then that Jesus entered into His glory at birth according to lds teaching? .......Yes or no?

"I am sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" Jesus....... "Go not into the way of the gentiles" Jesus to the 12.

I have no idea.  I have no real concept of what "His glory" is let alone some restrictive definition on when it is complete.  Maybe it is never complete.  Maybe his birth was step two, maybe it was step 1,000.  It doesn't matter.

Then why in the world would you post this?......."Mormon's have always accepted Jesus Christ as one being like unto God himself. They also recognize that Jesus' glory was not complete until he received his body here on Earth."

Didn't you just say mormons believe His glory was complete when He recieved His bodY?  Was that a typing error? Sheesh!

Like I said, I don't know when his glory is complete.  Mormon's believe that it couldn't be until after he received his body.  That in no way limits the possibility for more development, it just signifies a particular step.

"Mormon's believe that it couldn't be until after he received his body."

Well, thats much different than "They also recognize that Jesus' glory was not complete until he received his body here on Earth."

No one! As you know, I don't believe in superpowers - Batman has none, so he would be able to kick Superman's "superpowered" ass...

Superman's super powers had purely naturalistic explanations.  His powers existed only relative to the unique physical properties of our particular solar system.

Even given (or ESPECIALLY with) evolution and strict materialism, there is no reason to think that there might not be somewhere in the universe creatures that have evolved with physical properties that would manifest differently in our own system.   A very easy way to see such a possibility displayed is to consider how it is on the moon.  With the weaker gravitational pull, we'd be able to jump higher, in theory, than a native.

Basically when you are allowed to postulate even the most ridiculous physical processes, and slap it with credibility if you think you have billions of years with, then any possibility exists.  Indeed, we should even say its probable!
