No...I am saying that works show faith and dedication to the Lord.  The Lord will save whom he will and it is he who gets to decide what kind or how much faith and dedication is necessary for exaltation.

The Christians that I run into often see no connection between their actions and their faith.  Certainly there are many in the church I belong to with this problem as well.

Don't forget the little equation...grace+faith+works=exaltation.

You have an interesting equation.  Exactly what "christians" are you referring too?

And.. how does your equation fit with my opening q?  Do they match?

The neighborly Christians around me...mostly Catholic, episcopal, baptist.

Answer your own question Zag...do they match?  I recall it says...believe in Christ (faith)...through grace (obvious)...saved after all we can do (works).  You are seeing the discrepancy here not me.

I might be hairsplitting here.

I sincerely apologize.

I will pin point what I mean...

give me a day or so to figure out the exact words.

But I don't point this out out of desperation on my part (not that I think you think so) but because I know that there IS a difference.

haha
