In yet another place, Copernicus points out that Pascal denounced 'reason' itself.
I suggest that both Cog and Cop are out of touch with the historical context in which these statements were made. In order to begin a demonstration of that, I submit this from Pascal:
"I shall now speak according to natural lights"
What did he mean? Contrasted to what?
He also said:
