80 Million Year Old T-Rex DNA
« on: May 02, 2009, 11:37:26 AM »

Not that anyone would accidentally go to Worldnetdaily.com, but about 90% down the page is a report about some dinosaur DNA that is being examined.  It's under the "Evolution Watch" heading and it's titled "Dinosaur Blood Extracted From Bone" - what's your thoughts?

Build the T-Rex, and loose it in Washington, DC.

LOL
I suppose I should have just said - who are they kidding - DNA wouldn't survive 80 million years but, since they actually have it - the real stuff - it must be fit into the evolutionary time paradigm.  Circular reasoning at its best.  I willing to bet that if they gave the sample to several different biologists without telling them where it came from, they would put the age somewhere in the thousands of years at most.  Most biologists would laugh at the thought of the DNA surviving in the millions of years, but most paleontologists will "toe the line" and probably say what an anomaly this is for the sake of their careers .  IMHO

Either overthrow geology / paleantology /physics or alter our views on how long a chemical can remain if protected from disturbance.

Hmmm.  Not much of a contest.

I did email the scientist that made one of these discoveries, and she was a Christian that was completely against the way the creationists misrepresented her work.

Of course creationists won't care that they misrepresent something.
