At the moment I must vote no.  Weighing the evidence for opposing 'theories,' i find some theories to be more convincing than the Big Bang theory.

Had you asked me this 3 years ago before i started critically weighing the evidence, i would have voted yes... but right now I am too skeptical; there are too many holes for it to be believable.

In concern to the Big Bang Theory, doing my research and weighing the evidence; my answer is no. Like Jason said, it is just too skeptical. I believe in Kalams Cosmological Argument.

hahaha

when did I tell a parable?  Let me spell it out as clearly as possible:

What is your definition of Love?  Depending on how you define it i will answer your question differently

AC

Tell us what version of the BBT you believe.  Did it begin at a single point, spontaniously at many points or, is it an ongoing process?

If you want to be taken seriously, you need to share your views, rather than attack unprovoked.  Why do you think your views are superior?  You haven't told us what you believe.  Just that you think Christian views are silly.

edited because I cant spell or type.  How I wound up here I'll never know.

Then support that theory.  Don't just state it and then ridicule others for disagreeing with you.

OK, thats a start.  Now, can you explain why thats any more logical than a Christian of blind faith claiming that the universe is so vast that God hadda do it?

And again I ask, which version of BB do you believe?  You said you believe the universe to be ancient, which I don't think is incompatible with beliefe in God (not all Christians are young earthers).

Good try.   :)

Answer the question.  There are a number of BBT's.  Which one do you believe?

Well, when you look into the fine-tuning of the universe and do the research you will be overwhelmed. Not just one issue has been proposed but many including: gravity, the difference in the mass between neutrons and protons, the electromagnetic force, and much more.

Ex. Let's set aside the issue of how the biosphere got here. Now, lets say that there were 12 dials that controlled the conditions inside a particular dome. Each dial had an incredibly huge range of possible settings. When you departed, you left the dials at random and as a result no life was possible in the biosphere. You come back a year later, and when you look at the dials, you are amazed to find out that each one of them has been carefully calibrated to just the right setting so that life is flourishing in the dome. Twelve dials, twelve different factors, all optimally set for life.

The next day in the paper you would see: EXTRATERRESTRIAL LIFE EXISTS. People in the world today would take that as proof that an intelligent being had landed and set those dials precisely where they needed to be for life. The dials of the fundamental properties of the universe have been set like that also. The precision is so much greater though. This would be totally unexpected under the theory that random chance was responsible. It is not unexpected at all under the hypothesis that there is a Grand Designer though.

Thanks to Robert Collins by the way.  8)
