lol, well my apologies for misconstruing what you said.  :)  Well, it can be a tricky format, I guess.  Thanks for being a good sport.  It looks like we just ganged up on Zag.  :)

Tricky.. yes.  I think that we are all gonna "ganged up" on everyone else actually.  heh.  Even putting my views aside I think the God arguement is most important of all.

Zagzagel  -I couldn't get any peace leaving this conversation at this place.  I think I was trying to focus on the importance of the here and now.  The reality of the moment.  Philosophically, yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised, today is a present.  The final reality, the spiritual reality is the greater reality, but, we are here and now.  The onus is on all of us to seize the moment.  The hope of heaven - no pain, no disappointment, no anything negative is ours by faith, but now is the day of salvation.

2 Corinthians 6:2 NIV
For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.

James 4:14-17 NIV
13.Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."
14.Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
15.Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
16.As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil.
17.Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins

That was interesting.  Thanks for taking the time to write that.  I will think about it.

He does actually sit on a throne, Ezekiel 1, (in the spiritual realm) that is guarded by actual Cherubim/Seraphim's etc. etc.

I have no beef with Tony that God is the sum of all that is real.  I am comming to terms with that and am understanding that more and more.  Actually.. He is the first one I've heard him say this.. and it actually speaks to me.. the way I understand how God did things... although I still don't understand that perfectly yet to this day.

That is the reason I reject the idea/teaching/theology that God created out of nothing.  The scriptures state that God created out of himself.  So the sum of creation is out of God which is very scriptural.. instead of "out of nothing" "exnihilo"?

But that is another argument...

But I quoted you here because... Why does God need a guard or guards?  Perhaps you misundestand that text?  I see no reason for God to surround himself with guards at all.

I've always wondered about this issue.  I doubt evolutionists have ever noticed the apparent divergence between the human experience of birth from animal birth.   What would they say if it ever crossed their mind?  I don't know.

Yes it has been discussed a lot amongst evolutionists, and there is a very effective evolutionary answer but as it is dependant on us evolving from a common ancestor with other primates with a smaller brain and necessitates the idea of imperfect design then you will a priori reject it.
