Hmm...this topic wasn't replied to for over a year. Methinks that sntjohnny should change Dannyboy's user status from 'Frequent' to 'Much Less Than Frequent". ;-) Of course, seeing that I've had a membership here from very early on and have only 250 posts, I probably shouldn't poke fun.

So Harry is still out playing in the sand? I thought he was only going to go over for a little while and then come back. I suppose he must be enjoying it or at least being well compensated for it.

So, what have I missed in the last year? How is everyone?

 [biggrin

I sure would like to say that I will be but everytime I think I will, I seem to disappear for a few months, so I don't want to lie and disappoint you sntjohnny ;) . I moderate on another forum and it keeps me busy. For the last couple of months that site sapped most of my desire to debate so I haven't been there a whole lot.

DTF was the first site I started debating on, if I can even call what I did back then debating, so coming here is almost like coming home. It's great that many have stayed here for so long too.

For an excuse right now, I will say that life is a little on the busy side but I will pop in when I can.

Blessings all.

Yes I am.  Returned approx. 4 months ago.  I wasn't sure what was going on either, that's why I haven't visited since returning, getting settled and figuring out what was my next step in this grand ol' universe.

Johnny, I still got your tele number, sorry I haven't been in contact but as I just said, I was busy getting back in the swing of employment, settling into a place and getting used to these itty-bitty paychecks again.

But all in all, life is GOOD. I am so much better off now, I'd say about 60 thousand times more better off than I was when I left.

No internet connection in my home as of yet, so I can only check in every so often for now.

Oh yeah, yes, it was quite an adventure.

Harry, in all seriousness, you should write a book about it.

Need a ghost writer.   Know of any?  Can I make gross exaggerations? [biggrin

Zagzagel,

I don't know if I am who you think I am or not.  I joined the "Defending the Faith" website under the name of "LittleMsbytheBook" and then it died.  Then I became a member here.  I have not posted anything since 2004 because I have not had regular use of a computer.  I seem to be around them all the time, now.

I have 2 kids who are in 2nd and 3rd grade. We live with my mother.  I must say, living with your mother after you've been married is an experience.  I don't recommend it unless it's completely necessary.  [smile

Hey guys.  Those of you from DTF and the "early" sntjohnny.com days may know me as Sought&Found.  Well I'm back and glad to see some of the old familiar faces still here!  I'm not sure how much time & energy I can dedicate to posting but I'm sure I'll at least be lurking around.

What's up Joel!  Good to see you again, as well as everyone else of course.  I sure have gone through a lot these past few years.  I'm still a believer, though I have changed my stance on one or two things.  Hope everyone had a good Christmas!

"haven't we all.
  "

Well, that is great, and  probably good.:-)

"Hope everyone had a good Christmas!"

We DID!!! Hope you did too.

Speaking of the history of this forum, I wonder if we're coming up on a decade any time soon. I remember posting to DTF sometime either shortly before or shortly after Y2K. How much prior to Y2K was DTF in operation? I have no idea. My wife tells me I have a memory like a sieve, and she ain't far off! Seems kinda strange that this new fangled internet phenomenon is now old news.

The Sasquatch before he started in this forum:
5'11" tall
365 lbs
long, flowing locks of beautiful hippie hair
politically liberal
single with no hope
broke
Could see better than 20/20
Full time computer science student
wise***

The Sasquatch today:

5'11"
240lbs
completely bald (not by choice...God cuts my hair now)
politically cynical: I vote for baseball players (Schilling/Rodriguez '08!)
married and actually thinking of swimming upstream to spawn.
mostly broke
Can barely pass the BMV vision test
Full time web developer
still a wise***.

lol...I just saw that it's been just about a year since I posted in this thread. I've posted elsewhere since, but it's pretty much bi-annual at this point. Looks like I'm in time to say hello to Righteous Goy.

Wow Sasquatch, I gained weight after I got married, and it isn't stopping...
