Hi Fema, welcome!

A good way to maybe avoid the 'quote' wars as you call them is to start your own topics.  That way you can sort of set the terms for the conversation...

Peace and again, welcome!

Hey, Sophia here. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what you guys talk about on this forum...so I guess I'll be checking it out after this post...but I can already guess it's mostly a discussion on religion.
This should be interesting.
I'm a Christian. I've never ever debated with an athiest or agnostic before, so, like I said...interesting.
I have to say that the inuendos totally turned me off....What's up with that?
Kinda off topic if you asked me.

Hi Sophia,

You are perfectly welcome to stick to the Christian writer's section of the forum.  There is no expectation that you pop in here and debate with atheists and agnostics, but you are welcome to if you like.

Welcome to the forum.

I don't know what you meant by innuendos.

"Sntj.  I remember that one time we both couldn't sleep one nite. "

You really can't let that hang there like that.  What are people going to think?

maybe this?

LOL.  I remember that like seconds ago.  There was a contention there... due to one thread.. then another thread was created after that thread.. then came the defenses.. and whatever.  It became a misunderstanding and all was forgiven.  :)

Heretic is my choosen forum name. Came to be know as 'Harry' here.

Was active since the birth of this site and for many a year.  Started to become bored reading the same same over and over, same arguements same rebuttals ad nauseum.

The 'fun' went out of it for me.  Found an Atheist site that looked most fun, joined up and play there often.  I poke my head into here from time to time just to see what's going on.

I started my own HVAC sub-contracting buisness, sole proprietor, just this past summer. Started off gang-busters keeping me most busy all day long making good $$.  Then winter came upon us and now all my numbers in my checkbook have little -'s in front of them :( and I have more time on my hands.

I see a lot of the same old faces here. Good thing.

We had an apologist grace us with his presence over on the atheist forum and I could have sworn it was ol' sntjohnny. He called himself  'St.Paul'.

He hung his hat on the "Transdental" arguement which IMO is just a rehash of the first cause arguement. Somehow when he insisted this arguement was perfectly logical as long as you had a presupposition of the existance of the christian God, it made me think of ol' johnny and promted my  visit to this site again to say Hello to the johnnymaster and the old faces here that may remember me.

Just looking over all the last posts. I see this forum activity has died out.

Sorry to see that happened.

And it looks like nothing whatsoever is going on in here.

Sad to see it all died off.

Yeah, I've noticed things have gotten quiet lately.  For my part, I check the forum once in a while, and post occasionally, but with two young children (ages 4 and 1), there's just not a lot of time for involved debates anymore.

Nice to hear from you again, though, Harry.

Good to see you Harry.  I was thinking of you recently.

Yea, I know its died down.  That's my fault, really.  I just can't invest in it the way I'd like to.  I see Cimic's two children and raise him two more.  ;)  So no, I haven't been at any other forums, either.

Firing up this forum is always on the agenda but always at the bottom of the list.  Keep dropping by... someday....

It's all my fault.  I have neglected to come by and stir the pot.  Now there is nobody here for Christians to get angry at.  Just the same, regards to everyone.  I do most of my missionary work among theists at the religiousforums.com site lately.   :-)

Hi from New York City
« Reply #36 on: May 15, 2010, 01:26:40 PM »

Hi!  Last night I came across this forum via Anthony Horvath's "Death of Christianity" page, which interests me because of my interest in learning about religious trends.  I'll share my own perspective about this later, in the relevant thread.

Another reason I've joined this forum is to get back in practice debating with Christian apologists -- something I haven't done for quite a few years now.  (I'm not ready to plunge into such debates right now though -- I'm too busy with other things these days -- but I plan to get into them later.)

I'm a theistic Satanist, and I'm the founder of two local Satanist/LHP groups here in New York City, plus a well-known website on theistic Satanism.  I'm also the founder of a local group of activists who oppose the religious right wing on various fronts.
