Good article. The UK version of Occupy has been camped outside St. Paul's cathedral which has led to an entertaining collision with the Church of England leadership, who have almost audibly had to remind themselves of all that stuff of being on the side of the downtrodden. Not so easy when the downtrodden all want to use your bathroom.
The criticism I have heard more often here is that it isn't enough to be anti-capitalism without providing a viable alternative. This in a country which is rather more tolerant towards the idea of socialism than America. But I don't think that OWS or any of it's derivatives are necessarily anti-capitalist, just anti-laissez faire capitalism, and pro at least some sensible regulations restricting what kind of risks bankers are allowed to take with our money. In that respect they make a lot more sense than the Tea Party, who want government completely out of their lives (and by the way, hands off our Medicare!).
