What is telling about this thread is that there are actually many Jews who believe that Jesus did exist and is a Messiah.  Not the their Messiah/due to the Christian argument.. but, nevertheless, a Messiah.. like Moses.. or King David.. or others in their history.  So what makes this thread interesting is the hot persuit to NOT to NOTE that particular important information.

Bit of a difference between A messiah, and THE Messiah, I think. Seems to be an equivocation.

A "Bit" yes.  But a bit in a horses mouth can make it move here or there.

BTW, Jesus was not the messiah. This is evidence by the fact that the messianic era has never come about. There are dozens of prophecies of the coming messianic era, yet not one prophecy that there would come a "messiah" who fails to bring about the messianic era, but in stead die for ANY reason, much less for the sins of others (which goes against the Tanakh), period, not to mention that such a one would return ESPECIALLY not before thousands of years would pass, to finish what he had never started in the first place, that is, usher in the messianic era.
